Here is an another variation of Thalipeeth (One of the popular dish in Maharashtrian cuisine). This Thalipeeth is a combination of Bajara flour and vegetables which makes it highly nutritious and healthy. Making it requires just 1-2 drops of oil and that too for brushing the pan, makes it lesser in caloric content. This delicious Mix Veggie - Bajri Thalipeeth can be an ideal option for breakfast for those who want to loose wait yet don’t want to compromise on taste.
Wash all the vegetables (Carrot, Bottle Gourd (Dudhi), Cabbage, Fenugreek (Methi) leaves, coriander leaves, etc.) with clean water.
Peel the Bottle Gourd (Dudhi) and Carrot.
Now finely chop all the vegetablesmentioned above including onion.
After cutting soak these vegetables in Luke-warm water for 15-20 min with little turmeric and salt.
After 15-20 minutes drain the salt water and rinse these vegetables with clean water.
Now in a mixing bowl mix all the vegetables withBajara (Bajari) flour and all masalas mentioned in ingredients (Sundae Masala, Chilly powder, Turmeric powder, Cumin-Coriander powder, Sesame seeds and salt) together and knead itinto a dough.
Now make small balls out of it.
Now pre-heat a Tawa (Pan) on aGas/Hot plate/stove as per the availability and bush it with just1-2 drops of oil.
Now flatten these balls directly on Tawa or first flatten them on a plastic and then place them on tawa (pan),as per your convenience.
Flip them from both the sides till they become golden brown.
